I'm not sure if, growing up, you had to learn that lesson about not correcting people all the time, but I sure as hell did, and I've found it valuable. I'm a self-professed grammar Nazi, but I think that I've learned to control it most of the time. If I've ever corrected you, trust me, there have been a hundred times where I've held my tongue.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, it's very hard to keep my mouth shut. I have one co-worker in particular who likes to think that he has the answers to the world's problems, and knows everything there is about national politics and international relations, in addition to US history. He'll just bullshit for an hour, utterly convinced that he's right, and he'll not speak one valid phrase. I often wonder if my fellow employees are as annoyed at this as I am, or if they buy into the things he says. I just need to be careful that I don't stab him before I leave.
