Akin to an earlier post involving a mix of Boulevard of Broken Songs, I'm currently looking for a link to what's being called "Smack My Song 2 Up." That's right, Prodigy meets Blur and I'd like to be party to its awesomeness. Let me know if you find it.

Let's see here...what's been happening? The Dave was out last weekend. We more or less walked for three days straight. I might just love Manhattan, but let me tell you, it made me appreciate the DC Metro. Also, I could not believe the sheer magnitude of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I think that as grad students we were both pleased at the pure value of how much we got for our $7.00 student admission. It was possibly the only good deal we found while in New York, and more than worth it. We also rented Garden State. I thought the ending was weak, but it was still a beautiful movie. Natalie Portman could not have been any more adorable.

Then there was a busy and productive week in New Jersey, and I've come home early. I was supposed to leave last night, but ended up staying to have dinner with Caron and Cathy, so I left at 4:00 this morning, thinking stupidly that this would put me in DC before the traffic got bad. Of course, the weather decided to curse me. First I was slowed down by the rain and the wind, and then traffic hit about 15 miles north of Baltimore (keeping in mind it was still only 6:00 am). So I spent the next two and a half hours creeping along in the rain, just wanting to go home and get some sleep and a shower before work. Needless to say, I was not in the happiest of moods when I got back to my apartment. Luckily I remembered to breath and consider the fact that I was just pissy before talking to Sonali, because I would hate to have taken it out on her.

This brings us to Sonali's good news. She's passed her exam! Yay! This does mean that she has to start studying again, but at least she's not studying for the same test.=) She was happy and I got squealy for her. Caen sent her some beautiful tulips. He's so good about sending her flowers. I want flowers... But then, I also want to pass my exam. I don't really think that either one is going to happen.

So now it's time to clean, take down the tree, and get ready for the party. Lara's coming home from Hawaii tomorrow, so I think that I'll get welcome back balloons for her and congratulations balloons for Sonali, and buy some flowers for them. I can't wait to have the roommies back!
