Out of the blue I just remembered something that made me happy. It was a memory from the past that put a smile on my face, and I sighed softly thinking about how nice it was to remember something so silly and frivolous. I love it when that happens. There's no reason, it's not something you laugh hugely about, and it probably wouldn't have been funny the second time. It's just a moment in time that creates a bit of a glow and casts that rosy tint on nostalgia.

In this case the memory was back to Germany. I think it was my second summer. We started a "reforestation" policy with beer. The same way loggers have to plant two trees for every one they cut down, we had to put two beers in the fridge for every one that we drank.

Yeah, I was right, loses the comedy when retyped.
