I forgot to mention that the Violent Femmes were awesome on Saturday. The drummer's kind of crazy, and I came out drenched in the sweat of the teenage boys surrounding me. Oddly, it was one of those nights where I incapable of achieving so much as a buzz. Regardless, a fabulous time was had by all. It is worth mentioning here that the opener was fantastic to the point that many of us in the audience looked around at each other and expressed shock. Steven promptly ran off to buy the CD, but they'd sold out the night before. Anyway, you should all check out Langhorne Slim.
This coming weekend brings the long awaited Snow Patrol Show. It might also include a trip to see a local band I've heard a lot about, Virginia Coalition. Other concerts looming on the horizon are Ladyton, the Skatalites, the Dead Kennedys and the Red Elvises. As previously noted, I need to stop buying concert tickets, so this won't all be happening.
