Random thoughts for the day:
I need to find a good way to iron suede.
The thing I dislike about living in a place with weather is digging out your clothes a year later to find that they just won't do. Where are all of my socks? Why did I ever wear that sweater? How'd that hole get there? I could have sworn I owned a couple of scarves...
Leaving school is roughly the same regardless of what level. Anticlimactic, uninteresting and just the slightest bit soul crushing.
I gave up on my coffee abstention today. Not sure what that's going to mean for the long term.
Airfares are just high enough for any place worth going as to make travel prohibitive. It also doesn't make sense to me that certain places are more than others. Shouldn't Canada cost less than Europe?
I love this for three reasons. One of them should be entirely obvious.
My friends and are all smart, educated, qualified, fun, good people. Why are so many of us unhappily- or un- employed and single? Shouldn't this get easier at some point?
I never believed that I'd meet my best friends from college the first week in the dorms. I also never figured that my best friends in DC would be from orientation and my first semester of classes. Is it that we make immediate connections with these people and are then bonded through common experiences? There have to be a hundred people I could potentially have been close to, but I'm really happy with the ones I've found.
While the internet does in fact make it way too easy to stalk people, luckily for me it doesn't really turn up anything interesting. Boredom can be a dangerous thing, more so if one has tech skills, which I don't.
Cinnamon is a highly underrated chocolate additive. Unbelievably delicious in brownies.
