Anyone that's spent any serious amount of time with me knows that I'm fairly tactile. I pet, I rub, I love texture. For this reason I should really enjoy chenille. However, while I do quite like the feel of it, I can't stand how it looks. It's very much a cheap fabric regardless of how much it actually costs. Why does this come up you ask?
As I was riding the metro this afternoon I was standing next to a rather attractive, reasonably dressed man. Standing there admiring him, I suddenly noticed that his sweater was indeed chenille. The first thing that went through my head was "Men should NOT wear chenille." Then, as I stood there fighting the urge to reach out and pet this stranger on the train, I realized, yes, yes they should. And I felt dirty. At least I did manage to keep my hands to myself.
