As it turns out, one of what I'm assuming to be the primary downfalls of having been born a morning person is the undeniable fact of the afternoon sleepies. I recall distinctly that for about the past decade, the 1-3 pm hours have been my worst. No after lunch course in college ever resulted in my ability to stay awake reliably. I can load up on coffee all I like, but no amount of caffeine will ward off the effect. I've noticed recently that my most dearly loved habit of going for a walk and/or reading outside over my lunch break simply makes the situation worse. Sunshine apparently turns me into some sort of a house pet, wanting nothing more than to curl up in a patch of it and go to sleep.

So what is the lesson here? That I may have more to learn to Spain than I thought. I was already a huge fan of sangria, so it seems only natural that the best friend of that deliciousness would be a nap. I'll simply have to become a woman of leisure. This will go hand in hand with friends and I being ladies who lunch. Yes, that sounds like a wonderful like. I've got no chances of financing it, but it sounds delicious regardless.
