While flipping through the news earlier this week, I came upon something a bit startling. It was presented again today in this article. Ignore the fact it's in German and look at the pictures. Now, regardless of how beautiful these photos are, or of the explanation for the odd mode of dress, those particular outfits can't help but be creepy. I'm sure that in Spain and other parts of Europe, they're associated with passion week and these specific events. Having grown up in the US, there is just no getting past the cultural context they trigger. I was almost afraid to have any of my coworkers see what I was looking at.
