I've come to the conclusion that some one in Las Vegas is giving out a fake phone number that just happens to be mine. Maybe she's originally from Long Beach and just mixed up a couple of numbers. Maybe it's something more nefarious. However I just keep getting calls from the 702 area code, and it's getting kind of annoying. I've missed most of them. The voicemails sound either like sales or billing calls.

Previously, when I've gotten wrong numbers they've been from CA area codes that I recognized, and were clearly mis-dialed numbers from people who barely spoke English, largely in the middle of the night. Or a doctors' office. That's kind of what I expect these days. Outside of that set of circumstances there are very few reasons for me to get a wrong number. These people from Vegas need to realize that the voicemail message they're hearing does not carry the name of the woman they're looking for and stop calling me. The doctors' offices I'll call back. The rest of them? No.
