Lacrosse is far more popular around these parts than it is on the west coast. I kind of liken it to waterpolo for places with crappy weather. After three years here I should have grown accustomed to stickers and gym bags bearing the abbreviation for this sport, but that's not the case. I'll give you one guess as to why it takes a minute for the confusion to clear every time an SUV with a sticker that says "LAX" crosses my path.
