A few thoughts on moving:

  • I never thought I was that sensitive to smell, but Jenny claims that the strong au de gas I'm picking up is entirely my imagination. Meanwhile the air freshener plug-in that I've set to the lowest possible level is kind of overpowering. This is quite possibly just me.
  • I can't move my furniture in until I unpack, but I can't really unpack without some of the furniture.
  • We need to do something about the bathroom.
  • Why are the things I've forgotten those items most necessary to my day-to-day routine?
  • This is the first time I've moved by myself. It was good to see how much Betty can hold. She's pretty much a bottomless pit.
  • We get surprisingly good light for a basement.
  • The major downside for me of switching to a DC drivers' license is going to be the ID photo. My Virginia license features me looking hot enough that bouncers regularly comment.
  • I'm going to do everything in my power to keep the papasan chair that was left in our living room.
  • I spent 15 hours moving yesterday and still have to go back to the old place to take care of things.
  • It turns out that there are actually things I need that Target doesn't carry.
  • Even on an inflatable mattress, it can be near impossible to drag myself out of bed.
