So the trip to Richmond turned out to be a great time. There's not really much to say about it beyond that. Good people, lots of liquor, fun times. I didn't really end up with much of a hangover, the same cannot be said for Frank, but luckily enough I was driving. It was a fun way to ring in the new year. After we got back I took a nice long nap and then walked to Ballston to see Finding Neverland. The jury's still out on whether or not I like seeing movies by myself, but it's not something I ever would have seen otherwise. I think that Beyond the Sea might have to be next.
Christian Dave's coming to visit me in New Jersey. I actually think that we'll head into New York for the weekend, maybe see a movie or something. I'm guessing that it'll be pretty low-key. I'll have to ask Caron and Cathy for suggestions of what to do with him. I don't think Frank's too thrilled about the idea of a male friend flying all the way out from California to spend the weekend with me, but all I can really say is that it's Dave. I get pretty defensive at the first signs of jealousy just because of my experience with the other Dave. I have close male friends, and don't think that I should have to be guilty or apologetic over that. Oh well, it's probably a good thing that Joe can't get out of China, so no visit from him.
It's time to embark on two more weeks in New Jersey followed by the new semester...woohoo? I'll definitely need the party on the 15th to get me ready for school again. I haven't really seen anyone since finals, so I'm socially deprived at the moment, which is an odd feeling to have considering how much visiting I've done lately. This summer was definitely far more isolated, but the overall impression is about the same. Ok, off to pack and drive.
