One of the running jokes on our trip was that we were going to eat all manner creature, thus several of the comments below, including the panda. However, last night's foray into Restaurant Week might have been equally successful as I managed to unitentionally cover 4 animals in 5 forms over the course of the meal. I had not intended on that large amount of protien, but felt that my travel buddies would be proud. There was no panda, manta ray, or pelican, but there were duck, mussels, fish, and pork. Quite delicious.
I make no claim to being a foodie, but have enjoyed my few visits to the kingdom of restaurant week. This week's adventures did highlight criticisms regarding bad service, but I couldn't tell if that was also just the renowned shortcomings of the DC area in general. The key lesson that Jenny and I have taken away here is that these outings should be taken as an opportunity to try something new. Both at Indebleu and Zola it was the items I didn't expect to like that became the superstars. Who knew mussels were so good? Or cardamom ice cream? Or something being passed off as 12 year aged butterscotch? I usually hate plantains... Just kind of strange.

Hey kiddo,
I am always proud of you. No matter what. While the real photos are "in process" come over and enjoy some "interpretive art"-- Not unlike Bryce's "interpretive dance".
I miss your face!
