I went to see Breach last night, and regardless of Ryan Phillippe's terrible attempt at acting, quite enjoyed it. There was one thing that bugged me though. I understand that when some one's making a movie shot in a recognizable location they're not always going to pay attention to continuity and the locals are going to say "Ha! That's not where that is!" However, in this case, something entirely inconsequential was changed. One of the more important scenes in the movie takes place outside of the Archives/Navy Memorial Metro Stop.
The problem? This stop is on the green and yellow lines:
However, in the movie, that signpost above is very clearly shown displaying stripes for the orange and blue lines. This leads me to assume that it was shot on a sound stage and some flunky just screwed up, but I'm left to wonder. If it actually was filmed in the Navy Memorial, did some one just make the decision that orange and blue would look better on film? And why did it matter?

they probably shot it at the metro station, but there wasn't a pylon in the frame they shot, but wanted one. so they added a fake pylon at the real place just to have it in the shot.

like i told you the other night, watch "a scanner darkly". they go from buena park on the 5, to santa ana on the 5, to tustin on the 5, to orange, to santa ana, to tustin, santa ana, tustin, all on the way from anaheim to san diego. it's enough to make you car sick.
