So, granted I've been kind of lazy and less productive than I should have been at work lately, but I still felt like the expectation was that I'd be doing the same full time job in part time hours. This is about to get much, much worse. Both of my counterparts in the New Jersey office have just resigned. One gave notice so we've got her until next week, but the other just up and quit without notice. This means that the two members of the team who are on site and dealing with the side of things that I am both now have to have their work split between myself and another woman who's offsite and deals primarily with a different side of the business. Basically, if I were still a full time employee, this would up me to 50-60 hours per week. However, I'm part time, and can't really afford to expand my hours. How on earth is this going to work? I hope they get replacements hired soon...

The other problem becomes impact on the company and the clients. This is a small firm without a lot of extra time and money, and there's been a ton of turnover lately. I hope that they can get this straightened out.

'Ello Megs,

From the sound of things you're beyond merely busy at the moment, and now would be the last time that I should drag you into a blogging mood. However, seeing as how I only just discovered your wonderful (and relatively long running) log, I can't pass up the opportunity to let you know that someone out there has read and appreciated your musings. They've been very entertaining, and sometimes even ... well, maybe the German isn't quite "informative" but I'll lay the blame for that on Babel fish's overly literal translations.

One note of advice, if I may. Remember always that you're writing to the world but for yourself. Never be shy to put pen to paper--or text to page--your future self will surely find it all worth cherishing. Even the most mundane tasks will take on the air of grand adventure when dressed up properly and given a chance to age.

Cheers,
- Dan
