Do you ever have those moments when you realize you're a complete dork? I've had several over the past day or so, and have also come to the realization that I put more emphasis on my social life than getting my work done. Most of this comes from the case of the scones:

Gentry loves our history class, and wanted to bake cookies. Through a series of discussions the idea morphed from her baking cookies, to the two of us throwing an afternoon tea... So yes, I'm enough of a dork to have planned, shopped, and baked scones from scratch for my graduate level history class. Not only that, but I'm making multiple varieties. This is the tip of the iceberg on my dorkdom, but does explain what I was doing rather than writing my paper last night.

The next step in proving my dorkdom? I was so excited with the beautiful appearance of my scones, that I called people to tell them about it, and made my roommates come take a look. It was right up there with calling home when I saw a car with California plates and a frame from Garden Grove Kia. Something about that 714 number just got me so excited.

I'll go sit in a corner, sip from my Grover juice box and hug my stuffed raccoon.
