Somehow grad school is remarkably like high school. Maybe it's just that the Elliott School is so much smaller than our undergrad universities, so we haven't had to deal with the atmosphere in a while. I mean, damn, how small and incestuous can this place be? Whether it's gossip or party invites, it gets around faster than I could imagine. I never thought I'd offend some one by not inviting them to absolutely everything I do. And let's not even get into the discussions on whose invite list each person is on and why or why not. It's freaking ridiculous. A lot of recent situations have had me feeling 17, so I guess all of this is appropriate.

Well, law school it's not, just a hyper-social IA school. We actually decided that the Georgetown kids are the smart ones and we're the fun ones. I'm doing the general MAIA with a concentration in conflict resolution. You're econ at SAIS, right?

Don't really know anything about SAIS. I've heard some about American, but I think that's tainted by whatever minor rival they have with GW. How would you classify SAIS, since none of you came out to our joint happy hour in February?

Nope, not from Jersey. Check the comments on your blog to see where I grew up.
