Every city seems to have their version, the local weekly paper that covers an alternative point of view, happenings, and issues not presented in much of the mainstream media. Their primary value is that they're forcefully local. However, they all seem to end up with the same personality. I know that the OC and LA Weekly are affiliated, but they're still roughly equivalent to the Sac News & Review, and the Washington City Paper. Anyway, in order to reinforce the fact that they are local, the OC Weekly publishes a list of the OC's scariest people each year. It would be much more entertaining if I knew who most of them were. And here's the one from last year, just for good measure. When I found it at that time Bryce made the rather valid suggestion that Nixon's corpse should be listed every year. I personally think that TBN deserves far greater recognition for its work in scariness.
