I'm facing a bit of a predicament. I was applying for a position on the website of a certain NGO. As it turns out, I inadvertantly applied for the wrong position. Given the lack of response to my resume, this would not have been a problem or come to my attention under normal circumstances. However, I've now bee contacted to interview for the position in which I am not, in fact, interested.

On the one hand, it's nice that some one wants to interview me. On the other, why can't it be for something I want to do?

I think it's called Murphy's Law.

Heh, Murphy's Law is a good call. You should interview...think of it more as an informational interview and see if there are opportunities to move up etc...

Ms. Perspicacity has the correct approach. Good luck; listen to some Mozart before you do the interview.
