A friend of mine sent me an odd Christmas gift this year. I certainly didn't expect a gift, and had not sent him one. I believe the last time we exchanged gifts was Christmas 2003, though he's been promising me a graduation gift since last April. When I brought that up he said it's been sitting on his desk since then, and he just hasn't gotten around to mailing it. I'm not holding my breath. However, the fact remains that I did receive an apathetic flask from a thoughtful friend. I don't know that I'll ever have much reason to use a flask, but it's kind of funny.

Why this specific flask? I use the term "meh" with some frequency. Why is this worth posting? Because today I was reading this article as part of my general Slate browsing and it referenced the very reason I started using "meh" to begin with. I now have proof and at least some comedic context. Woo.
